Privacy Policy

• No accounts, no sign-up forms, no newsletter, no ads.
• The site itself sets no cookies.
• We count visits in a way that can't identify you (details below).
• Your saved places and your location stay on your own device.
• We don't sell or share personal data — we don't hold any.

Visit statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It uses no cookies and does not track you from one website to another. It records the page, the website you came from, your country or city-level region, and your device type, operating system and browser — as anonymous counts, not as a profile of you. Hosting records. The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, its servers receive your IP address and basic details of each request (the page asked for, your browser type) when your browser loads a page. This is needed to deliver and protect the site. Vercel runs servers in several countries, so a request may be handled outside the country you are in. Vercel's privacy policy.

If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can reply.

• My Trip. When you tap the star on a place, its ID is saved in your browser's local storage. It is never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data for vietnam-app.com removes it.
• Near Me. If you tap Near Me, your browser asks permission to use your location. The position is used inside your browser to sort places by distance and is not sent to us or stored. You can say no and the site works as normal.

Some features load data straight from other companies. When that happens, they can see your IP address, as with any website you visit.

• Weather on each city page comes from Open-Meteo. We send only the city's coordinates, not yours.
• Exchange rates in the currency converter (ATMs & Exchange tab) come from ExchangeRate-API.
• The map uses tiles from OpenStreetMap. They load only when you open the map.
• Directions buttons open Google Maps in a new tab, only when you tap them.

Many “Book” buttons take you to a partner's website: GetYourGuide, Klook, Trip.com, 12go and SafetyWing. The link carries our partner ID so the partner knows the visit came from Vietnam App, and if you book, they pay us a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Once you are on a partner's site, that company's own privacy policy and cookies apply — including the cookie that credits us for a booking. They handle your booking and payment. We never see your payment details, and we don't receive your name or contact details from them.

The eVisa button goes straight to Vietnam's official government portal; it is not an affiliate link.

• Refuse the location prompt, or clear the site's stored data in your browser at any time.
• Use your browser's privacy settings or a content blocker to stop the outside services above. The site still works; the weather, rates or map may not show.
• Ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing contact@vietnam-app.com. Apart from emails you send us, we expect the answer to be nothing.

This site is a general travel guide and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

If what the site does changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
